Kids: The Worrier/Anxious/Nervous/Over-active

Today children as young as 8, 9, and 10 can suffer from excessive worrying and anxiety.  They worry about what to wear to school, homework, their friends, their parents, even dying.  These kids are in turmoil and their peaceful days are few and far between.  When this becomes chronic, the first medical step is often a mind altering drug called and SSRI, like the antidepressant drugs Prozax and Lexapro.  These drugs come with a litany of side effects, and they are definitely not the first place to start with a kid who is depressed or a chronic worrier.

Remember that millions of kids suffer from a vitamin B deficiency thanks to the standard American diet.  If your child is one of them, please start them on Cataplex B (6-9 tablets daily) by Standard Process.  The first symptoms of a vitamin B deficiency in kids are mental and emotional.  Severe depression, fears, and worries are often classic signs of a vitamin B deficiency.

Before starting kids on brain altering drugs, it is always best to test for a vitamin B deficiency first.  You will know within 30 days if this deficiency is the cause of your child's problems.  And take note that the entire B complex in its natural form with all its naturally occurring counterparts is needed.  That means a whole food supplement made from concentrates and extracts.  Cataplex B is a premier product for these kids.  Store bought vitamin B will not work.

And if you child is a worrier or depressed, but is also hyper, over-excitable, and cannot sit still, be sure to also get them vitamin G which is the calming side of the B complex.  In these cases use Cataplex G (4-6 daily) by Standard Process.  This is in addition to Cataplex B.  Whole books can be written on vitamin B deficiency and its effects on children.  Do your child a favor that will last them a lifetime.  Test this cause of emotional problems before you embark on very dangerous medications.
