In January of 2013 I experienced a severe case of sciatica. The pain was so excruciating that I was taken to the emergency room. After testing, it was determined that I had a severe disc herniation causing the pain. My doctor referred me to a neuro-surgeon. On a scale of 1-10, my pain level was consistently between 8 and 10 for many weeks. I was scheduled for spinal surgery to relieve the excruciating pain. My quality of life was poor as I was unable to get in a comfortable position or perform any normal daily activities.
Two weeks prior to my surgery date, my sister picked me up at my home and brought me to Dr. Wallace. I was concerned about having anyone touch me at that point but after examining me and reviewing my MRI, he assured me that he would be able to help.
I went regularly for treatments, which were very gentle. Two days prior to my scheduled surgery date, I experienced the first sign of pain relief. The next day was a little better so I cancelled the surgery. I still had a long way to go but I felt that I owed it to myself to pursue these treatments and avoid surgery at all costs.
I am happy to say that after a few more weeks of regular treatments, I felt confident to resume my workouts. I was able to play golf again during the season and resume my normal day to day activities.
Dr. Bill Wallace, Dr. Glenn Eigenmann and Dr. Brian Wallace have changed my life. They are extremely knowledgeable, compassionate people who take their time with you and understand what is important for you as an individual. Their staff is equally as caring and friendly.
I give them my highest recommendation. I am certainly glad my sister picked me up that day!
